For our campaign the hive does not include a bastion, so you have that over me, however we're not using the bastion rules from PE so it gives you no bonus I believe, unless the tile is being attacked by myself. Then it's the fort scenario mentioned in the Bix's amended rules (from here on known as BAR, which I have printed for Friday btw).

Space ports grant the ability to planet strike (as covered in BAR). The details of this and the associated planet strike rules (or city strike if you're attacking a hive) Bix will providing soon.

When it comes to tiles and nominations, how is this going to work? Pestie nominated that tile, do I get to nominate a different tile?

Also, how do the secret missions come into play?

but it was in the handout... S'why i quoted it!!

in that case, Bastion rules (from same handout) on a 4+ roll on 1D6 I get to pick one unit (from my side) and give them one of the universal speacial rules.. such as FNP or sumink....

Of course, or choose the same tile.. it either has to belong to me, or the slaneesh... which ever you want...

Nope, as I said we're ignoring the default PE rules for a bastion as per BAR, what's in BAR supersedes what is in the PE handout.

Good choice Bish....!! That's a nice bit of land, very scenic, and yet so handy as you have alot of nearby convience's. The neighbourhood can be a bit rough though.

I have had a chance to read the other stuff now, and if you are in agreement about our forth coming fight...

Quote:
Bish will get his +1 to roll for deployment, etc from the Power station

Neither will get bonus points from having one Manufactorum each

Neither get bonus points as we both have the same number of tiles

I get no bonus from the command Bastion

OK?

Hopefully i'll be at Wills for ~ 7.30... although I could do with hand carrying stuff over - I made a few more scenery bits, and got yer Land Raider for you...

Yeah, that sounds fine. The planet strike and cities of death rules are not applicable for our battle I believe.

I'll trip over about 7:30 as well then, maybe a bit earlier to carry the board around....

If that's ok Will?

Yes you did, you only made one mistake.
You turned up with a good force to play a Eldar army and had to face a very good chaos one instead.
Once you lost you tank with was not much hard hit fire power on your side
You also have to remember the lady luck left you last night to go out on the piss, I can't remember any one rolling so many ones.

Hope your feeling better and we shall have a game on Wednesday if you feel up for it

Well done bish, although you got slaurtered to a man you put on a good show for not having played much.

Will, sorry the only night I can't make is Weds (realised this whilst puking into a nearby recepticle last night! Fine now mind...).

Yeah, I know what you mean about the the anti-Eldar style army list, don't really know why I did it like that...

Also, if anyone wants a battle, we can do it at my home either the 14th or the 21st (the sooner I get confirmation on this the better).

Very nice guys :D , gratz Pestie on your victory and well done on completing your secret mission. I like how you've rolled it into the development of your Chapter; should add a nice twist to the story. What were your thoughts on it? Did it add a little something to the game or are the missions an added enbuggerance?

Did you manage to capture the map tile you were fighting for? Oh and remember chaps to roll for your Character's wounded results, especially The Fecal Lord, that guy must be seriously maxing his Fabius Health Care Package.

Why thank you Mister B.

for the mssion, I had planned an element of my force towards it's completion, which was going well, until the Dreadnough went into a fire furry and wiped out the rescuing squad, and half the Cultisits. Bish then prety much took all bar one lad. At that point expecting the last cultisit to die, I re-prioratised. the cultist then spent further several turns hiding under a blanket, in some ruins. Towards the end of the game, when it was becoming clear that Bish in all likleyhood would not be able to rally his forces to the challenge, I once more turned towards the mission. This is where it got a little confusing, as there were no rules to decribe what I had to do to take and hold for a turn... so we decided that I had to have a guy within 2" for a turn... Bish tried to deny the mission, but after some ridiculous dice roles, Bish's entire army was then wiped out. So we decided on automatic success, given that the field was mine.

We didn't role for the tile (yet), it was late and Bish wasn't feeling too well, so currently, that tile is in dispute.

As for Characters, well that begs another question: characters such as the Fecal Lord, Bisheh's lib, etc are all bespoke. If they die on the roll, etc, What's to stop people just rolling up a new one?
(Although I've yet to role, I'm changing the Fecal Lord, if you hadn't guessed it fromt he Narrative, I'll now take a Slaneesh DP for my next encounter, as my Warband evolves...)

My thoughts were that the characters survival chart should only be for named charaters, as you can only ever have one Tigurius (etc).

also, how does Eternal Warrior affect this?

I just posted a very lengthy reply and lost the lot BOLLOCKS.

I shall try again but be brief.

To hold a position I think we should use the rule they have in the main rule book for holding an objective at the end of a game. Its a 3" range around the the objective and must be a scoring unit. There must be no enemy units scoring or otherwise within 3" of the objective to contest it.

So if you agree that will stand for anyone who has a take and hold section to their secret missions.

As for casualty chart yes it applies to unique named Char ie Morgrim, Calgar, Typhus etc.., if they roll a two they are out of action for the duration of the campaign. It don't mean they are dead just too badly injured to continue for this campaign.

For HQ generics if they roll a 2 they are out but you can then select another to replace them next game, you just promote another Captain or Daemon Prince which is realistic.

If they they roll above a two and suffer - mods you cannot replace them, if you use a Captain or Daemon Prince next game they have to be the wounded one as they are still in post. You can't get rid of these guys until they roll a 2 on the Cas Chart. If you take x2 of the same generic HQ units say two Librarians and you have a wounded one in your army from a previous game, you have take the wounded one first.

This applies to all Codex listed Uniques and any HQ single figure unit.

Make sense :?: Thoughts.
